My desk (July 2004).
I didn't have a desk and wanted to be able to work from home. I knew IKEA
wouldn't have what I wanted, so I bought a bunch of 2x4s and some plywood and
built my own. My design constraints included:
Countertop just beneath the window sill, to maximize how much I could see
out the window. On clear days, I can see Rainier. On cloudy days, it's still
quite green and pretty out there.
I don't like chairs. I wanted a platform so I could sit cross-legged.
It had to fit in the corner next to my bookshelf.
Thanks to Greg Balco for helping me cut the big plywood pieces, and for
letting me use his tools!
