Rice Alumni in the Northwest

This page is no longer maintained. I used to coordinate events as described below, but I eventually graduated with my Ph.D., and will be moving to Silicon Valley. I leave this page up as inspiration for someone else to perhaps take over.

R.A.I.N

Once upon a time in the beautiful city of Seattle, Rice alumni would gather every month over beers. The tradition is back, on the last Thursday or Friday of each month.

I will send out a reminder email once or at most twice per month. The initial email went out to all Rice alumni whom I found through the online directory, residing or working in Seattle, Redmond, Bellevue, or Kirkland as of July 2004. Please email me (see below) if you'd rather not receive email; receive it at a different address; or would like to be added to my list.

Where and When

We get together for beers and food on the last Thursday or Friday of almost every month, usually at the Roanoke Tavern. The Roanoke is easily accessible from I-5 and the 520, and parking in the area is easy.
