Dragonball Dojinshi

What is dojinshi?

Dojinshi is Japanese fan art of a specific series. It generally explores what-if storylines, with subjects ranging from light humor to character studies to graphic sex.

What's the stuff on this page?

I have found a dojinshi book for Dragonball. A few stories have been scanned, translated, and put here by me. Note that the panel order now goes in traditional American fashion (left-to-right). This is to facilitate people who are used to reading English balloons left-to-right, and has been done with either reflection and/or panel reversal. I have not translated the sound effects, though. If more people request me to do some more, I might.

What's Dragonball?

It's a manga, currently over, by Akira Toriyama. Several links can be found on my anime and manga page that relate to it. The early version of the first TV series is currently on American TV. This collection of dojinshi mostly takes place in the Namek storyline, which is much later in the series.

Is this, um, legal?

Probably not. I'm probably violating copyright by posting artwork of other people. However, as the artwork itself is already a violation of copyrighted character designs, it is unlikely I'll get persecuted for this. Certainly, translated dojinshi is very rare to find in this country anyway.

Get to the stuff already!

Okay, okay. These are all JPEGs, with high compression, in 256 greyscale. One caveat: These may contain spoilers for the future part in the story. If you don't want to spoiled by early DBZ stuff, don't read this. You probably won't get the references anyway.
