Hit or Miss -- Mensa Select® Winner(search on Board Game Geek)
A card is drawn that gives a general category (e.g., "words relating to the circus"), and everyone writes down as many words as they can within the time limit. You usually want to get a good mix of words that other people will write, along with words that other people won't. When time is up, everyone then takes a turn sequentially as follows: roll the die in public view, announce a word on your list, and everyone else either indicates a HIT (they also wrote the word) or a MISS (they didn't write the word). The die will either display HIT or MISS, which determines which one you're trying to get by your word choice. The game components are well-designed. This is a simple but innovative premise -- the game actually works well and was one of my higher picks.
