Wits & Wagers -- Mensa Select® Winner(search on Board Game Geek)
I'm starting to see a tendency for fans of Euro-style games to attempt to use elements from their favorite games to streamline and design party games aimed at the American market. This is a pretty good example, and I'm pretty impressed at the subtleties that most of my fellow players didn't even notice -- the simplicity and balance that went into the payoff selections, the decision of how many questions to make the game last, the token color and selection, etc. A quick game can finish in around 20 minutes and leave you desirous of more, which is an excellent sign. Although I probably would've preferred a different party game to have won Mensa Select ("Sort by Ranking" on the left to see which one), this one was a clear second-place among the party games submitted for me and I'm not unhappy to see it do well.
