A simple memory game with slapjack-like elements.
Players take turns playing one card at a time into a central stack.
Each card has a toony picture of
a robot on it. If the robot is a "new" robot (doesn't have a name yet),
the player gives it a name. (Some names used during our playtest:
"Green Nose", "Ricky Ricardo", "Rover", "Needle Nose".) If the robot
already has a name, then the first player to yell out that name gets
the stack and puts it at the bottom of their score pile. The top card
on each player's score pile is a "Thing-a-ma-bot", and if one of those
is revealed during the game, any player can yello "Thing-a-ma-bot" and
steal that player's score pile (which means that players have to
protect their own score pile by calling out first).
It's not a complex game, but it is a memory reaction game, if you
like that sort of thing. Compared
to others of its nature (such as last year's Snorta!), it's much more
inexpensive and less, well, embarrassing. Probably a good game for kids
but adults might not find much replay value here.
