In this party game, the player whose turn it is (the "portrayer")
gets a short amount of
time to describe a cartoon image to the other players, who are all
furiously sketching like mad. When time is up, ten hidden facts
about the image are revealed, and each player scores points based on
how many of those facts are correct in their sketch. Some example
facts might be: "There are ten stars in the cartoon" or "Only one
eye of the fish is visible." The portrayer
gets a point for each fact that at least one of the other players
got correctly. (Since this would otherwise mean that the portrayer gets
at least as many points as everyone else, one of the ten facts is chosen at random and is worth 3 points to the artists only. Several rounds are played, the scores are tallied, and that's the game!
This game is pretty much a test of the skill you would expect: portraying an image while trying to second-guess what sort of "facts" the game designers have come up with. My only problem with the game is that the images tend to range from cartoony to realistic, and that the realistic images are much harder to portray because there are more irrelevant details that may or may not be one of the chosen facts.
At the end of each round, it is often quite a hoot to see everybody's hastily-drawn sketches.
