Boxum
Really really big and elaborate pieces for a game that isn't. The basic concept is not a bad game, but many of the design decisions, such as the paper money and giant thick cardboard mats, seem like they were chosen not for gameplay reasons but to, well, make sure the game has paper money and thick cardboard. If anything, they hinder the flow of the game. There are lots of ways that I could actually improve this game to make it more fun, including things as simple as making the rules understandable. It feels less like an actual game and more like a sample board game from some advertising agency's portfolio. Return to Introduction |
