Toxin is a graphical client for the Gale instant messaging system. It resembles clients for other IM systems such as Zephyr and ICQ.
Toxin is not under active development. It is a mostly functional proof-of-concept prototype designed to illustrate how to use the PyGale library (an implementation of the Gale protocol in Python).
To use it, you need to have Fugu installed. Run the toxin script from the Fugu source directory, or edit the line at the top of the file to point to an installed version of Fugu's libraries. Toxin 1.0 has been tested with Fugu 1.1.6.
Toxin is the concentrated essence of Fugu. For a full-featured client, use Fugu instead.
