back room, but sometimes other people pre-empt us.

HAPPY HOUR NEXT MONTH:  Our next get-together will be Friday, Aug
26.  Since I've obviously been too busy trying to finish my PhD to
be timely about sending out these announcements, here's a one month
advance for those of you who like to plan ahead.

RICE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL IN NOVEMBER:  How much interest is there in
a group outing to see the Rice Women's Basketball team play in 
Seattle?  We can get a discounted ticket package ($4 to $10) for a 
group of 25 or more.  They will be playing at UW on Saturday, 
November 26th and Sunday, November 27th.  Email me if you'd like to
go.  If I get enough responses, I'll get the tickets.
