I hate April Fool's Day
Today is April Fool's Day. On Usenet and the web, that means any yahoo
thinks their hoax post qualifies as an April Fool's prank. It doesn't
matter how poor the construction, how blatantly obvious, how wretchedly
unfunny; so many want to get in on the act.
I wish I could bill them all for the wasted seconds of my life spent on
their garbage. It's not unlike accidentally watching a bit of "Full
House" -- the sheer awfulness stays with you long after you've left the
technically-a-joke behind.
(long, involved pranks like the Perl/Python/Parrot trick aren't
what I'm talking about here.)
